Today was Jersey Day! Jersey Day is a day where you wear a jersey or a shirt with a number on it. We are learning all about place value and numbers. First, we put ourselves in number order from least to greatest without talking. You can see the picture up above! Then we divided ourselves into two groups: odd and even numbers. Then we figured out addition sentences with our jerseys. We tried adding 1 and 10 to our jerseys. We also subtracted 1 and 10 from our jerseys. We created addition number sentences with our jerseys. All the numbers had to be on our jerseys. For instance, we made 95 + 4 = 99! We even added more than 3 numbers, 12 + 5 + 1 = 18.
