At the beginning of the year, our class shared our special things that we like in our life bags. We took turns sharing our things. There were a lot of cool things like toys, fragile things, and pictures. We took two days to share everything.

Ms. Young's class read a book called Frindle. In the book, there is a crazy boy named Nick Allen who invents a new word. The new word is Frindle, which is a replacement to a pen. When he invents the new word his teacher gets really mad and they started a battle: Nick vs. Mrs. Granger. The word starts spreading all over the country and even goes to different countries! Nick was getting richer and richer with all the money he was making too. You won't believe how the ending is! If you want to find out, you should read the book! Questions: Have you ever read a crazy story like this? Would you ever want to invent a new word? What would it be? What would it mean? Today is our first week of Second Grade! We are Second Graders in Ms. Young’s class. Our class is in a very small school in Ohio. There are 18 students in our class. In our class, there are 10 girls and 8 boys. Most of us are 7 or 8 years old. One person in our class is a twin! One person is an only child, 10 people have one sibling, 5 have two siblings, and 2 people have 3 siblings! We like to play sports, sing and listen to music, and reading! Some sports we play are karate, soccer, gymnastics, basketball, football, boxing, wrestling, lacrosse, taekwondo, ice skating, cheerleading, and baseball. We are excited to share what we are learning through our blog and cannot wait to read your comments!
What do you like to do? Do you play sports or an instrument? How many siblings do you have? **Please remember that when making a comment, do not include any personal information, such as your last name, address, phone number, password or your plans. |
