On Wednesday, we had a special event that happens every year. The special event was the Second Grade Force and Motion Fair! We had to make games that include forces to make motion. We learned about force for a couple weeks, and then worked on our games for a week. After making our games, we had to write directions for how to play the game, and we wrote a paragraph explaining the different forces that make our game work. Here are the games we made:
The Best Hockey Game
Spoon Catapult
Skeeball
Bean Bag Toss
Car Ramp
Soccer
Putt-Putt
The other Second Grade class made seven games as well! We invited first graders and our families to come to our fair, play our games, and learn about force and motion. When our families came, they got tickets so they could keep track of every game they visited. We really had fun making our games and letting our special guests play them! We also enjoyed teaching everyone how force and motion work!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Holliday's Class
