We just finished a project where we made board games based on books we read. The board games are for an after-school program that needs books and activities for the children who go there. First, we read books that Mrs. Holliday bought from Scholastic with her bonus points. Then we made a list of three positive things and three negative things that happened in the book. Then we put the events in the order they happened in the story. Next, we put the events onto game space on a blank game board. Once we made our first draft and had it checked, then we made our final copies and added illustrations and detail. We laminated the games so they would look nice and last! We wrote letters to go with the books and games as well. Finally, we played the games to make sure they worked! It was really fun making these games, and we hope the children have fun reading and playing these games!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Holliday's Class
