On Thursday we had a Thanksgiving Dinner for lunch! We had turkey, chocolate pudding with sprinkles, mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread, pumpkin pie, green beans and milk. We were lucky because we were the second class there, so we didn't have to wait in a long line. Last year we had to wait for a long time! It was so filling, but it tasted so good! The lunch calendar said it was pizza day, but they changed since it was a special day. It was much better than pizza! The cornbread and pumpkin pie were especially good! In our class, 13 people got Thanksgiving dinner and 7 did not. It made us excited for Thanksgiving!

Dear Readers,
We had a substitute teacher this week because Ms. Young was missing! We read the book, Miss Nelson is Missing. Then we used a Venn Diagram to compare our class with Miss Nelson's class. Then we made stories about Ms. Young being missing! We thought about places she might be like Europe, Sierra Leone, in a witch's house, in the army, in Minecraft, etc. Then we thought how we could find her. We also had to explain why we wanted her back. We made Missing posters where we drew Ms. Young and offered rewards to find her. Luckily, Ms. Young came back the next day! Questions: Where do you think Ms. Young was? How would you find her? What would the reward be for finding Ms. Young? Sincerely, Ms. Young's Class |
