We had a great and busy week this week! First, we wrote letters to the Caldecott Judges to convince them which books we thought should win a Caldecott award. We shared our opinions and reasons for our opinions. The books students in our class chose were: Jabari Jumps, Egg, Now, This House Once, Little Fox in the Forest, All the Way to Havanna, The Antlered Ship, and Life. Next week our school will have a vote to see which book the most students think should win. We will find out the real winners of a Caldecott very soon, so stay tuned! We will let you know the winners when we hear!
As a bonus, because we earned enough Cowboy Compliments for great class behavior, we earned a Dance Party at the end of the day today!
What a great week we had!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Holliday's Class
