We had so much fun with this project! Every student received a book to read last week. After reading, they made a list of 5 or more events that happened in the story and listed them in order. Then they decided if the events were "good" or "bad" to figure out if it would be a MOVE AHEAD space or LOSE A TURN space. Once the planning was done, we created board games to go with each book! We are donating the books and board games to a local children's charity, Inner City Youth Opportunities (ICYO). We thought this was a great way to give back to children who don't have books to read and games to play each day.

Something our family does to help others in need is we sponsor two children in other countries through an organization called Compassion International. The boys, Henri, lives in Tanzania, and Densingh lives in India. We send letters, photos, gifts and money, to them through Compassion, so that they can go to school, get medical treatment and learn about God and Jesus and the Bible. They write letters to us and sometimes draw pictures, too.
