We made a Force and Motion Fair. Our class made games that use forces to make them work. We came up with ideas for games. Here are some of our ideas: Plinko, Marble Tube, Whack-a-Mole, Magnet Toss, and Sling Shot. We brought some things from home and used cardboard, tape, balls, cups, baskets, paper, scissors and duct tape to make our games. We had fun making them.
We wrote directions for how to play the game. We also wrote how force and motion are involved in the game to make them work.
For the fair, we combined our games with the other Second Grade class and set them up in our Gym and Cafeteria. We invited First Graders, parents, siblings and friends. We even had our principal, Mrs. Hill, and 2 police officers come! Our games were numbered 1-15. All the visitors received a ticket. When they played a game, we checked off the number of the game they played. The Force and Motion Fair was really fun!
Sincerely,
Paxton and Sam
